This 9.3km walking track is located near Sumner and Taylor's Mistake Beach. Better for experienced hikers, this scenic trail should take approximately 3 hours to complete!
Explore changing exhibits in the centre of Christchurch. This gallery houses old and new photography of Aotearoa, beautiful Māori art and stunning sculptures. One could spend a whole day here easily.
Stroll through the Botanic Gardens located in Christchurch's iconic Hagley Park. See dozens of native plants, have lunch at the Curator's House and browse through the many greenhouses.

Visit this small, family friendly, museum that teaches you about the 2010 and 2011 Christchurch Earthquakes, and their aftermath to this city. Fully of science, and interactive exhibits.
Visit Willowbank Wildlife Reserve and spend a day feeding, petting and seeing an array of native and visiting animals and birds. See a kiwi, pet a capybara and feed the ducks, pigs and deer. You could easily spend a whole afternoon here!
Spend a relaxing day (or night!) at Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools and Spa. This quaint mountain town located 1.5 hours out of Christchurch is the perfect way to recharge and relax while on holiday. You can either spend all day there with pools opening at 10am and closing a 9pm or book a holiday home for a night or two through Hanmer Holiday Homes.
Explore downtown Christchurch on a historic tram around the city. This 50-minute route will take around Cathedral Square and prominent shopping and food districts of the city.
Ride the Christchurch Gondola and see Christchurch from above. Located by Mt. Pleasant, this ride provides views of Lyttleton Harbour, all the way to Sumner Beach. A perfect opportunity to take in all of Christchurch!
